Black Swan Psychology

Black Swan Psychology was established by Terry Andrews in 2015.  Terry is a registered Psychologist with 25 years of experience working within the education sector.  He has seen first-hand the difficulties parents have faced as they attempted to navigate educational systems in trying to gain the best outcomes for their children. His previous role as a school-based Psychologist provided the opportunity to work with parents, school staff and external agencies. The delivery of psycho-educational assessments provided data on the individual strengths and needs of children. Terry’s hope is that Black Swan Psychology can utilise a collaborative approach and integrate this with assessment results to ensure a comprehensive educational plan for your child.

About Terry

Terry grew up in the South West mining town of Collie where he developed a love of nature. After the completion of his schooling, he moved to Perth where he completed his tertiary studies in 1999.  The following year, he started his career as a Psychologist, servicing a number of schools whilst based in Bunbury. In 2002, he decided to take a year off to live in Canada and worked as a tour guide at the Vancouver Lookout.

On his return to Australia in 2003, he was able to secure his previous role as a school-based Psychologist, but this time in Perth.  Terry is the father of two school aged boys, and a girl who is yet to enter the school system.
